S Vs I4...The small things nobody told you about...

So I just moved from GalaxyS(S) to Iphone4(I4) and I wanted to jot down the small things I miss in I4(quite surprised :-0) that were helpful in GalaxyS....

You can take this as a comparison between S2 and I4 as well...since S2 will defn have all those features from S and much more....

So...

1. Contacts:

I want to display contacts with only phone numbers ...My S could do it...Was it soo much tough to add this feature for I4? yes there are apps that can do it...but why is it not a basic feature in the contacts menu??

I want to be able to link my contacts...My S had this feature...Again some powerful apps in iPhone market can do it...but why the heck should I pay couple dollars to get this feature??

Why do u need to link contacts? Because u don want two contacts of the same person:One with phone and One with email alone....Why did u have two contacts like that in the first place? Because I moved all my contacts(phone & google) to my I4 from S? Is it such a big mistake??

I cant categorize my contacts...I cant display just one group on my main contacts page and hide the rest...Seriously this feature would save so much time we spend looking up our contact....

2. App Store
When I install an app, why does the app store close and show me visually that it is infact installing the app? Why cant it just show a "notification" and remain in the appstore and allow you to download more apps? Apple: You have any reasons?

3. Siri....
Obviously one of the reasons I got I4 was to try out Siri...Ah..so much fun!
For Non-Americans, this feature is just a big "Joke"... In a positive note, If you want to learn how to speak in American English...You have to get this secretary!
She trains you so well...She gives you a hard time and just when you think of giving up...she says those sweet little nothings!

Siri:(restated) How much categories does a chipotle Daniel?
Categories...I can understand..Daniel?Seriously?
Ofcourse she got "Chipotle"- famous fast food place!
I tried again...
Me: How much calories does a chipotle burrito bowl have?(Pronouncing calories like an American)
Siri: (restated) How much calories does a chipotle Badhri to Bala call?
Ah...You see what she did there...Those were names in my contacts! So this is what it is...If you have the name in your contacts,u have a better chance of getting siri to understand the name...

Lesson Learnt: I can say "Call Burrito" and she will call Badhri ;)

While I moved to S from Iphone3GS(I3GS)...I don remember missing any feature...However some features were sooo not good.

1. Select/Cut/Copy/Paste
The select/cut/copy/paste feature in I3GS was pretty handy...Was lot easier to copy extracts from emails and paste it to notes etc. But S gave me soo much trouble...Totally annoyed!
